When I say “Little babies” I mean after the newborn stage when babies are more awake during their feedings, eat a little faster, and can take most of the bottle all at once. They can sleep 90mins at once, rather than just 45.
It is a little bit of an art to get a little baby to transition to the older baby schedule. Sometimes you have to adopt a temporary middle routine that has fewer naps but still more than four feedings. But generally you can tell the baby is ready to transition when he or she moves from taking 1.5 hr naps to 2hr+ naps without waking up. If the baby moves to 2 hr naps but still seems hungry a lot, you can use finger food to help her fill in the gaps that come with fewer bottles, like a graham cracker right before the nap. But when a baby is on a bottle and getting a good 5-8oz at once, they usually don’t have any trouble moving to a four hour (older baby) routine all on their own. My son moved around 5 months, I think. He then stayed on it until he was 11 months, when we weaned him and put him on a regular adult mealtime schedule (with a morning and bedtime snack).

REMEMBER THESE ARE JUST IDEAL PLANS. Fit and flex as you/your baby require.
